Hello volunteer moderators, so glad you are here to help.
Please enter the Volunteer Lounge and ensure that you let me know of your plan to moderate. Just add your name to whiteboard. Text only in this room as we will be listening to other presentations simultaneously.
Moderators please run through the opening slides with details of speaker name and title and help the presenter to upload their slides. Use the map to locate visitors and mention all of the sponsors. Two new ones this year are Adult Learning Australia and Broadband for Seniors. Start with welcome to speaker and start the recording.
The keynotes will no doubt provide an introduction for themselves, but you may like to boost that with a friendly introduction to OZELIVE 2016. I usually like to keep a copy of participants in the room by saving Participants as a txt file.
Keep an eye on questions in text chat and mention these for speaker at intervals or at the end. Let audience know that there will be a feedback survey pop up at the end - request filling it in.
And Recordings page will have all recordings links for review. Remind audience of the upcoming session and add the URL in txt chat for those who want to move directly to that room. (These are all in the Schedules)
Today we are moving into stage two and that also includes scheduling for volunteering to moderate the sessions. To date we have 16 sessions to moderate (including 5-6 Keynotes) and (10-12 presentations). This may increase over the next few days of course. However, I think if we reach 20+ we can still manage all between us.
I will moderate as many as I can, but we need to work together as a team during the weekFebruary 22 to 28 to verify who is doing what.
The schedules will be ready next week and you can begin to plan your time availability.
One of the Keynotes, Lucy Gray, will be presenting on the Tuesday February 23 US time/Monday February 22 AU time. As I have commitments at that time, can I ask for someone to moderate that session please. (eg Moderator: Anne)
Another session will be scheduled on Thursday the 25, by request from Lisa Della Porte and that one I will moderate at 9pm AU time, 5am US time. (eg Moderator: Carole)
I have sent a request to the other Keynotes to let us know their preferences for date and time.
I have sent a request to all Presenters to let them know that the acceptances and preferences for schedule will happen soon, hopefully by February 15. (You may have received one as a Presenter who has submitted a proposal).
Please do keep your eye on the conversations happening in the Facebook Messenger group, to which you should all be subscribed.
Ness and I will work together this weekend to put the acceptances and schedules in place. This requires us to setup a YouCanBookMe site and link to a Google Calendar. Then we can publish new Schedule pages in the Ning site.
